Happy Father’s Day!

Today is Father’s Day, so I’d like to take this opportunity to talk about my dad.

My dad is one of the best people I know. He is an upstanding guy– he’s an outstanding guy. He’s always thinking about five million things at once, which means he’s not the best listener, but he tries his hardest. He is constantly worried about whether my sister, my stepmom, my stepbrother and I are okay– and always does the best that he can to fix whatever’s wrong. Yes, he does travel a lot. But he always does whatever he can to be there for us. And for that I am extremely grateful and appreciative.

He has so much love in his heart– for his family, our puppy, for his friends, and for everyone he knows from the shoe business (which he’s been in since he was a teenager). He is understanding and comfortable, and his ability to talk to anyone astounds me. He works so hard at his job it’s insane. And he is a writer like me, and like my grandpa.

My dad loves baseball (go Mets!) and driving and New Park pizza. He loves Harry Potter and a good Jewish deli and World Fellowship. And he loves me.

And I love him. Happy Father’s Day, doodad Dan.

Such a lovely post. Your dad sounds like a wonderful man. Appreciate him for all he is worth and more and never forget those wonderful memories. Trust me. Happy Father’s Day, to you and he both, it’s more about the family as a whole then it is the individual I believe, for what would a father be without his family?

It always feels great to see how some children are not only close to their parents, but are also proud of them.
My relationship with my father has never been that great and we ended up cutting ties, but I still feel proud that he was able to raise me back when I was such a terrible child.

Anyway, your post made me smile and I hope all your love will reach your father’s heart 🙂

    Happy Father’s Day!

    • Thanks for reading my post. I’m sorry that you don’t have the best relationship with your dad– Father’s Day can be difficult for some people! I hope you have a wonderful day regardless. xx

I could completely relate to your post and especially this quote. My dad has a lot going on, so he’s always multitasking! I love the photo gallery and thought that this post was well written.
